Taste of Sorrow

Thunder, lightning...followed by torrential rains
caused it to overflow...
Two outlets it had.
It crossed the banks in two separate streams.
Both had minds of their own...
moving in erratic patterns
over the taut barren surface.
They converged and entered..
...I savoured the salty taste of sorrow.
