Alienation

Tears
Have a mind of their own
Never bothering about strangers’
Uncaring glances
Or curiosity

Breeze fans a little
Consolation
Gently humming the cliché
Life’s like that
Well
As if I didn’t know

Strangely
Every drop only brought
Me closer to its cause
I didn’t look for relief
Our union was in my grief

There was always relief at hand
Used and addicted to the pain
I am comfortable in an alien world
You living on like everyday
Just me still bound to you

Alienated
In your presence
In my grief
In our love.
